The state skeleton to hindrance scheduled highway construction to make room for shoppers who are holding advantage of a sales taxation holiday.
The Georgia Department of Transportation announced Thursday that it is suspending construction-related line closures within 5 miles of a selling mall or vital selling district on all interstates and vital state roads, starting 8 a.m. Friday and finale during 10 p.m. Saturday.
That coincides with a state’s sales taxation holiday on clothes, propagandize reserve and some mechanism equipment.
“The sales taxation holiday is an event for Georgians to save a small income during these severe mercantile times,” Georgia DOT Commissioner Keith Golden said. “The dialect is blissful to offer some service from line closures as families ready for school.”
The annual “back to school” sales taxation holiday allows for a tax-free squeeze of certain wardrobe items, propagandize reserve and computers and mechanism accessories.
